Everyone’s go-to furniture shop will open in Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi

The much-loved Swedish home-furnishing giant, IKEA, are set to expand their presence in the UAE by opening a second store in the capital in November.

Already home to an extensive brand catalogue, Al Wahda Mall will now be adding this popular store to its space; and due to the mall’s strategic and centralised location, will see Abu Dhabi residents attending from every corner of the city.

IKEA global appeal of easy to assemble, affordable and attractive furniture makes it the first name in mind when it comes to redecorating or upgrading your home. Chuck in the infamous and iconic Swedish Meatballs which are the highlight of a casual F&B offering, it really is a must-visit shopping experience.

With an original opening date of July,  the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions that came into place  put a halt on the brand’s expansion plans across the region; however the opening of the new store  this winter will be the fifth location in the region

Occupying a floor span of over 2,000 square meters, the city centre branch will be smaller than its sister store on Yas Island, but nonetheless aims at providing a more convenient shopping experience for those residents living downtown .
